Auction Memorabilia Auction
Since 1946, the Auction facility currently known as the United Country - Absolute Auction Center 45 South Ave., Pleasant Valley, NY 12569, has amassed a large collection of Auction related historical artifacts and ephemera. The collection is being photographed and cataloged with the intent to share this data and images with the National Auctioneers Association Foundation (NAF) to be part of their “Virtual Museum” project. All the items being sold in this Auction, unless otherwise noted, are guaranteed to be 100% original. Each lot will be tagged in gold with a label that will provide provenance. County Tax Foreclosure Auctions:
If you have ever considered buying property somewhere in New York State, you will not want to miss one of these events. The tax auctions often feature recreational land, homes, some commercial properties and a wide assortment of prices. Properties are typically sold by quitclaim deed (the simplest form of title transfer) and are 'cleansed' of prior liens including mortgages, property taxes or even state nursing home liens among many others so that the new owner can make productive use of his/her purchase. (Counties typically foreclose on property following the New York Real Property Tax Law Article 11 format.) Of course, we always recommend that buyers conduct a 'proper, prudent and thorough investigation and inspection of all properties they intend to buy' prior to bidding. We see that most people do conduct a due diligence effort prior to the auction because they ask good questions at the pre-auction bidder seminars. Dynamic Online Auctions
We have several estates we are working to get posted this summer! Watch our website for auctions that will feature furniture, large collections of carnival glass, Roseville china, dolls, cut and pressed glass and much more! The silent auction website has a “dynamic ending” feature; if someone “sniper bids” on a lot at the scheduled end of the auction, the system will extend the clock two minutes to give everyone time to bid again. The year was 1901. There were regulations, red tape and obstacles. “Cheap Johns” provided unfair competition to professional auctioneers. Non auctioneers were conducting foreclosure sales.
